Nazvano po Vicenteu Dalmau Cebrián-Sagarrigi, sadašnjem predsjedniku kuće Marqués de Murrieta, Dalmau predstavlja najmoderniji i najambiciozniji izraz ove istorijske riojanske vinarije. Proizvedeno sa jedne visokopozicionirane parcele na istorijskom imanju Ygay i napravljeno od kupaže Tempranilla, Cabernet Sauvignona i Graciana, vino kombinuje snagu i koncentraciju moderne Rioje sa elegancijom, balansom i dugovječnošću po kojima je Marqués de Murrieta poznat. Zanimljivo je da Cabernet Sauvignon danas uglavnom nije dozvoljen unutar apelacije Rioja; međutim, istorijski zasadi na imanju Ygay prethode formalnom nastanku same apelacije, što im omogućava da ostanu pod rijetkim “grandfathered” izuzetkom koji doprinosi jedinstvenom identitetu i strukturi ovog vina.

Berba 2020 pokazuje duboku, neprozirnu rubin-crvenu boju sa ljubičastim odsjajima. Miris je intenzivan i izuzetno kompleksan, sa aromama crne ribizle, kupine, crne trešnje, ljubičice, kedra, kutije za cigare, tamne čokolade, grafita i egzotičnih začina, uz nijanse balzamičnog bilja, espresa, finog drveta i mineralnosti. Na nepcu je vino moćno, ali besprijekorno uglađeno, kombinujući koncentrisano tamno voće sa svilenkastim taninima, živom svježinom i izuzetnom preciznošću. Bogato, strukturirano i veoma izražajno, postepeno se razvija ka dugom, slanom i postojanom završetku obilježenom začinima, mineralnom tenzijom i profinjenom elegancijom.

Moćna, ali sofisticirana Rioja izuzetnog potencijala za sazrijevanje, Dalmau 2020 odlično se slaže sa grilovanom govedinom, pečenom jagnjetinom, divljači, iberijskom svinjetinom, jelima sa tartufima, odležalim sirevima i savremenom gastronomskom kuhinjom.

Named after Vicente Dalmau Cebrián-Sagarriga, current president of Marqués de Murrieta, Dalmau represents the estate’s most modern and ambitious expression of Rioja. Produced from a single high-altitude plot within the historic Ygay Estate and crafted from a blend of Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Graciano, the wine combines the power and concentration of modern Rioja with the elegance, balance, and longevity for which Marqués de Murrieta is renowned. Remarkably, Cabernet Sauvignon is generally not permitted within the Rioja appellation today; however, the historic vines on the Ygay Estate predate the formal creation of the denomination itself, allowing them to remain under a rare “grandfathered” exception that contributes to the wine’s singular identity and structure.

The 2020 vintage displays a deep, opaque ruby colour with violet reflections. The nose is intense and remarkably complex, revealing aromas of blackcurrant, blackberry, black cherry, violets, cedar, cigar box, dark chocolate, graphite, and exotic spice, layered with hints of balsamic herbs, espresso, fine oak, and mineral nuances. On the palate, the wine is powerful yet impeccably polished, combining concentrated dark fruit with silky tannins, vibrant freshness, and extraordinary precision. Rich, structured, and deeply expressive, it unfolds gradually into a long, savoury, and persistent finish marked by spice, mineral tension, and refined elegance.
