Viñedos del Contino je osnovan 1973. godine, uvodeći koncept „château“ vinarije u regionu Rioje. Njihova vina se proizvode isključivo od grožđa sa 62 hektara vinograda koji okružuju porodičnu kuću, smještenu u meandru rijeke Ebro, u mjestu Laserna, blizu sela Laguardia u regionu Rioja Alavesa.

Gran Reserva 2018 iz vinarije Contino je harmonično vino, sa izvanrednom ravnotežom između svilenkastosti i zaobljenosti u ustima. Specifična parcela na imanju Finca San Rafael, pažljiv odabir grožđa i stalna pažnja u podrumu rezultirali su izvrsnim vinom u kojem se složenost i finoća savršeno kombinuju.

Na nosu je mirisno, podsjeća na crno i zrelo voće, uz cvjetne i balzamične note koje daju svježinu. Sve to je dobro uravnoteženo sa suptilnim notama tosta, koje potiču od njegovog odležavanja (24 mjeseca) u buradima. Na nepcu je fino i suptilno, sa prijatnim taninima i savršenom kisjelinom, što ga čini istrajnim vinom sa dugim završetkom.

Viñedos del Contino was born in 1973, establishing the “château” concept in the Rioja region. Its wines are made exclusively from the vines planted on its 62 hectares. The estate’s vineyards embrace its ancestral home within a meander in the River Ebro, located in Laserna, near the village of Laguardia in the Rioja Alavesa region.

Contino's Gran Reserva 2018 is a harmonious wine, with a great balance between silkiness and roundness in the mouth.  The specific plot at Finca San Rafael, a careful selection of the grapes and the constant attention in the cellar have resulted in an excellent wine where complexity and finesse perfectly combine.  On the nose it is fragrant, reminiscent of black fruit and ripe fruit, floral and balsamic notes that provide freshness.  All of this is well balanced with subtle toasted notes from its ageing (24 months) in barrel.  On the palate it is fine and subtle, with pleasant tannins and perfect acidity, making in a persistent wine with a long finish.
