Thörle je porodični domèn sa sjedištem u Saulheimu, u regiji Rheinhessen. Iako imanje datira još iz 16. vijeka, 2006. godine upravljanje su preuzela mlada i dinamična braća Christoph i Johannes, koji su modernizovali i revitalizovali kako vinariju, tako i vinograde – uključujući prelazak na organsku i biodinamičku proizvodnju. Već na nosu ovo koncentrisano Auslese vino pokazuje izuzetnu zrelost i intenzitet. Ekspresivno vino, sa aromama meda, žute šljive (mirabelle) i dunje, uz ogromnu mineralnu dubinu. Savršen balans između precizne kiselosti i nježne slatkoće osigurava uzbudljiv završetak.

Kada je riječ o sljubljivanju, ovo vino je iznenađujuće svestrano: deserti sa koštuničavim voćem poput breskvi, kajsija i šljiva savršeno se uklapaju uz izražene voćne note vina. Tartovi od citrusa, poslastice sa orašastim plodovima, pa čak i cheesecake su odličan izbor. Takođe se lijepo kombinuje uz voćne salate, pržena jela (poput tempure), pa čak i dimljeni roštilj. Thörle is a family domaine based in Saulheim in the Rheinhessen. While the estate dates back to the 16th century, in 2006 control was assumed by the young and dynamic brothers Christoph and Johannes, who modernized and reinvigorated both the winery and its vineyards, including switching over to organic and biodynamic production. Today, Weingut Thörle ranks among the best estates in the Rheinhessen. Their Spätburgunder (Pinot Noir) from the famed Hölle and Probstey vineyards are among the top-scoring red wines in all of Germany.

Of this stunning wine, James Suckling wrote: "I have rarely encountered an Auslese of this quality from Rheinhessen," and we quite agree.  Even on the nose, this concentrated Auslese presents itself as very ripe and intense. An expressive wine, with aromas of honey, mirabelle plum, and quince and enormous mineral depth. A perfect balance between precise acidity and delicate sweetness ensures excitement in the finish.

When it comes to pairings, this is surprisingly versatile:  desserts with stone fruits like peaches, apricots and plums work perfectly, complementing the wine's fruit-forward notes. Citrus tarts, nut-based pastries, and even cheesecakes can also be enjoyed with it.  It's also a great pairing with fruit salads, fried foods (like tempura), and even smoky barbecue.  The wine's aromatics and acidity also complement the flavours of Asian dishes and cut through the heat of spicy cuisine, like Thai or Sichuan dishes.  Enjoy!
