Destilovan 2010. godine, Plantation Venezuela je prvo odležavao 8 godina u buradima od američkog hrasta u podrumima Destilería Sofa. Zatim je 22 posebno odabranih buradi, po izboru Alexandrea Gabriela, brodom prevezeno u Javrezac, u francuskom regionu Charente, gdje je rum dodatno sazrijevao još 4 godine u buradima od francuskog hrasta Ferrand. U prepoznatljivom Plantation stilu, ova tehnika duplog odležavanja ističe izražajnost i kompleksnost ovog 12-godišnjeg venecuelanskog ruma. Njegova snažna ličnost savršeno odražava bogatstvo venecuelanskog terroira i znanje stručnjaka iz Destilería Sofa.

Na nosu je delikatan i bogat, sa notama muškatnog oraščića, meda, vanile, mandarine, kokosa, brazilski orah i kafe, uz blage cvjetne nijanse. Na nepcu nudi začinski i drvenasti profil sa notama kikirikija, duvana, badema, hrasta i bibera, kao i nagoveštajima crème brûlée, ananasa i sušene banane. Distilled in 2010, Plantation Venezuela was first aged for 8 years in ex-bourbon barrels in the cellars of Destilería Sofa. The 22 barrels selected by Alexandre Gabriel then made the sea voyage to Javrezac, in the Charente region of France, where the rum was aged for an additional 4 years in Ferrand French oak casks. In the Plantation signature style, this double ageing technique highlights the deeply expressive and complex appeal of this 12-year-old Venezuelan rum. Its assertive personality perfectly reflects the richness of the Venezuelan terroir and the savoir-faire of the experts at Destilería Sofa.

On the nose this is delicate and rich with nutmeg, honey, vanilla, mandarin, coconut, Brazil nuts and coffee with light floral notes.  On the palate it offers a spicy and woody profile with notes of peanuts, tobacco, almond, oak, pepper with crème brûlée, pineapple and dried banana.  It's long and dry on the finish with lingering flavours of hazelnut, leather, mango, orange, banana and cloves.  A strictly limited edition with only 30 bottles allocated to Montenegro... get it before it's gone!
