Prirodna elegancija Windsbuhla i same berbe jasno se osjeća u ovom vinu.

Domaine Zind-Humbrecht is the archetype of its region and one of the world’s greatest wine estates. With an unbroken winemaking lineage in Alsace since 1620, Domaine Zind-Humbrecht came by its current name in 1959 when Leonard Humbrecht married Genevieve Zind. In the 1960s and 1970s, Leonard was able to expand the winery’s collection of Grands Crus and other high quality vineyards. Today, the estate is managed by Olivier Humbrecht. His passion for Alsatian wines and Biodynamic farming translates into a portfolio of legendary wines recognizable for their purity, intensity and, above all, their faithful expression of each individual vineyard site.

The altitude of the vineyard coupled with Hunawihr’s tardy climate means that the Clos Windsbuhl is often one of the last of the domaine's vineyards to be harvested.  Like many 2012s, the nose is tight and shut at first, but some aeration allows the nose to show beautiful fruity aromas of pears, quince and citrus. It is easy here to detect a higher ripeness, despite the pale fresh colour. The natural elegance of the Windsbuhl and the vintage is obvious in this wine. The sweetness is delicate, the acidity is fresh and the power is elegant. More than any other Pinot Gris in this vintage, it is the saline acidity that makes the finish so long and will guarantee a long life to this wine.
