Produced from one of the most revered vineyards in Bordeaux, Pétrus is among the world’s most sought-after and collectible wines. Situated on the plateau of Pomerol and planted almost entirely to Merlot, the estate is renowned for wines of extraordinary depth, texture, and longevity, capable of evolving gracefully for decades.

The 2014 Bordeaux vintage is often undervalued relative to its true quality. Arriving immediately after the genuinely difficult 2013 vintage, and just before the hugely celebrated 2015 and 2016 harvests — whose highly anticipated en primeur campaigns captured much of the market’s attention — many excellent 2014 wines were somewhat overlooked at release. Yet for knowledgeable collectors and drinkers, this has resulted in some of the finest value opportunities among mature top Bordeaux today, with numerous estates producing wines of exceptional balance, freshness, and classical structure.

The 2014 Pétrus reveals remarkable elegance and precision, opening with aromas of black cherry, plum, blackberry, violets, truffle, graphite, and cigar box, layered with notes of cedar, dark chocolate, spice, and forest floor. On the palate, the wine is silky and impeccably balanced, combining concentrated dark fruit with freshness, mineral tension, and exceptionally polished tannins. Complex and harmonious, it unfolds gradually into a long, seamless, and profoundly elegant finish.
