Situated on the plateau of Pomerol and planted almost entirely to Merlot, the estate is renowned for wines of extraordinary depth, texture, and longevity, capable of evolving gracefully for decades.

The 1998 Pétrus is widely regarded as one of the great modern vintages of the estate, displaying remarkable richness, sensuality, and complexity. The nose opens with aromas of black cherry, plum, blackberry liqueur, truffle, violets, cigar box, graphite, and forest floor, layered with notes of dark chocolate, spice, cedar, and espresso. On the palate, the wine is opulent yet perfectly balanced, combining immense concentration with velvety tannins, freshness, and extraordinary depth.
