“Perrières” is widely regarded as Meursault’s most mineral and “Grand Cru-like” Premier Cru, its name derived from pierre (stone), a direct reference to the rocky, limestone-rich soils that define its character. In contrast to the richer, more opulent “Charmes,” Perrières is all about tension, precision, and structure. In the 2011 vintage, now with some bottle age, Joseph Drouhin’s interpretation shows a beautiful balance between youthful energy and emerging complexity.

Golden colour with slight evolution. Aromas of lemon, citrus zest, and green apple, layered with notes of white flowers, flint, hazelnut, and subtle honeyed nuances. Medium to full-bodied on the palate, with vibrant acidity and a firm mineral backbone; the texture is more linear than creamy, leading to a long, precise finish marked by salinity, stone, and elegant persistence.
