Tenuta Masseto’s drugo vino, Massetino, potiče sa istih plavih glinovitih zemljišta koja definišu legendarni Masseto, nudeći pristupačniji, ali i dalje izuzetno precizan izraz ovog jedinstvenog terroira. Iako zamišljen kao “drugo vino”, Massetino se brzo afirmisao kao referenca sam za sebe, posebno u uravnoteženim berbama poput 2021.

Berba 2021, široko smatrana jednom od najklasičnijih i najkompletnijih u novijem periodu, zasniva se pretežno na Merlotu uz manji udio Cabernet Franca, naglašavajući preciznost, svježinu i strukturu više nego samu raskoš.

U čaši se pokazuje duboka rubin crvena boja sa živim odsjajem. Na nosu je profinjeno i uzdignuto, sa aromama crvene i crne trešnje, šljive i kupine, uz slojeve ljubičice, grafita, kakaa i suptilnih začina. Na nepcu je srednjeg do punog tijela, sa finim taninima i živom kisjelinom; voće je fokusirano i elegantno, a završnica duga, precizna i izbalansirana, sa izraženom mineralnošću i velikom elegancijom.

Tenuta Masseto’s second wine, Massetino, is sourced from the same blue clay soils that define the legendary Masseto, offering a more accessible yet still highly precise expression of this unique terroir. While conceived as a “second wine,” Massetino has rapidly established itself as a benchmark in its own right, particularly in balanced vintages such as 2021.

The 2021 vintage, widely regarded as one of the most classic and complete in recent years, is based predominantly on Merlot with a small proportion of Cabernet Franc, delivering a style that emphasizes precision, freshness, and structure over sheer opulence.

In the glass, it shows a deep ruby colour with vibrant reflections. The nose is refined and lifted, with aromas of red and black cherry, plum, and blackberry, layered with notes of violet, graphite, cocoa, and subtle spice. On the palate, it is medium to full-bodied, with finely grained tannins and bright acidity; the fruit is focused and elegant, leading to a long, precise finish marked by mineral tension, balance, and exceptional finesse.
