Vino čiste hedonističke radosti, ali i sofisticirano gastronomsko vino, Cristal je perjanica kuće Louis Roederer. Stvoren 1876. godine, sastoji se isključivo od grožđa iz Grand Cru vinograda u Montagne de Reims, Vallée de la Marne i Côte des Blancs.

Godina 2012. bila je jedna od najizazovnijih i najsloženijih koje je Champagne ikada doživjela. Ipak, teški uslovi često rađaju izuzetne rezultate... Niski prinosi usljed nepredvidivog vremena, u kombinaciji s kontinentalnim uslovima pred kraj sezone, doveli su do neuobičajenog stepena zrelosti, dajući bogata, puna i strukturna vina vrijedna najvećih šampanjskih berbi.

Magnum boce su često najbolji način da se doživi Cristal, a to se u potpunosti odnosi i na ovu berbu. Zlatno-žute boje sa sjajnim zlatnim odsjajem, a sami balončići su nevjerovatno dinamični i živahni – gotovo da ih možete čuti!

Na nosu se otvaraju bogate i složene arome, s notama svježeg i kandiranog citrusa (limun) koje se prožimaju s polenom (bijelo cvijeće), prženim lješnicima i vanilijom sa Madagaskara. Nakon provjetravanja, buket se razvija u bogate note svježeg peciva i dimljene tonove nastale tokom sazrijevanja u boci. Na nepcu je vino ukusno, koncentrisano i kredasto, sa izuzetnom napetošću i savršeno preciznim aromatskim profilom. Napad je snažan, izražen i koncentrisan, otkrivajući svilenkastu teksturu koja obavija nepce – karakteristiku zrelih Pinot Noir grožđa iz berbe 2012. Završnica je izuzetno duga i koncentrisana.

A wine of pure pleasure and a sophisticated gastronomic wine, Cristal is the flagship cuvée from Louis Roederer.  Created in 1876, it is composed of Grands Crus from the Montagne de Reims, the Vallée de la Marne and the Côte des Blancs.  

2012 was one of the most challenging and complicated years ever experienced in Champagne. However, difficult conditions often lead to great things… The low yields, due to the unpredictable weather, combined with continental conditions towards the end of the season, gave us unusual levels of maturity, resulting in rich, full-bodied and structured wines worthy of the greatest vintages in Champagne.

Magnums are often the best way to experience Cristal, and that is certainly true in this vintage.  Golden yellow in colour with glistening gold tints, and the bubbles themselves are so incredibly dynamic, so lively, you can almost hear them!

The nose offers rich and complex aromas with notes of zesty and candied fruit (lemon) mingled with pollen (white flowers), roasted hazelnut and Madagascar vanilla.  After aeration, the bouquet develops rich notes of fresh pastries and smoky notes from bottle ageing.  A delicious, concentrated and chalky palate, it shows incredible tension and perfectly honed aromatic precision. The attack is powerful, distinctive and concentrated and reveals a silky, mouth-coating texture, characteristic of the ripe Pinot noirs from the 2012 vintage.  The finish is remarkably long and concentrated.
