Les Forts de Latour je drugo vino imanja Château Latour, proizvedeno pretežno od vinograda koji se nalaze neposredno izvan istorijskog L’Enclos, ali uz isti nivo preciznosti i pažnje kao i Grand Vin. Berba 2009, iz tople i izdašne godine, donosi bogatiji i raskošniji stil, uz očuvanu strukturu i prepoznatljiv karakter Pauillaca.

U čaši se pokazuje duboka rubin crvena boja sa granatnim odsjajem. Na nosu je bogato i kompleksno, sa aromama crne ribizle, kupine i šljive, uz slojeve kedra, grafita, duvana i suptilnih začina. Na nepcu je punog tijela i elegantno, sa zrelim, finim taninima i dobrim balansom; voće je izražajno i raskošno, a završnica duga i strukturirana, sa nijansama kakaa, začina i izraženom mineralnošću, nudeći i trenutnu privlačnost i potencijal za odležavanje.

Château Latour’s second wine, Les Forts de Latour, is produced from vines located primarily just outside the historic L’Enclos, and crafted with the same rigor and precision as the Grand Vin. The 2009 vintage, from a warm and generous year, delivers a richer, more opulent expression, while maintaining the structure and identity of Pauillac.

In the glass, it shows a deep ruby colour with garnet reflections. The nose is generous and complex, with aromas of blackcurrant, blackberry, and plum, layered with notes of cedar, graphite, tobacco, and subtle spice. On the palate, it is full-bodied and polished, with ripe, finely grained tannins and balanced acidity; the fruit is rich and expressive, leading to a long, structured finish with hints of cocoa, spice, and mineral depth, offering both immediate appeal and ageing potential.
