While the world's attention is often focused on the famous names of Meursault, Puligny-Montrachet and Corton-Charlemagne, lesser-known appellations such as Ladoix continue to offer some of Burgundy's most compelling value. "Les Marnes Blanches" is crafted exclusively from Chardonnay grown on limestone and marl soils at the northern end of the Côte de Beaune, where Faiveley has recognised the site's exceptional potential for producing elegant, mineral-driven white Burgundy. Matured for 10–12 months in French oak barrels, with less than one-third new oak, the wine beautifully balances purity, freshness and complexity.

Pale golden in colour with green reflections, the wine opens with aromas of white flowers, ripe citrus, white peach and a delicate touch of brioche. The palate is rich yet beautifully focused, combining vibrant acidity with subtle toasted notes, creamy texture and pronounced limestone minerality before a long, energetic finish. An outstanding companion to shellfish, grilled lobster, Dover sole, roast chicken and creamy cheeses, Ladoix "Les Marnes Blanches" 2023 is a superb example of why Burgundy's lesser-known appellations continue to reward those willing to look beyond the famous names.
