Jacquesson Cuvée 744 dio je “700” serije kuće Jacquesson, gdje svako izdanje odražava karakter jedne osnovne berbe—u ovom slučaju 2016—umjesto unaprijed definisanog kućnog stila. U čaši se pokazuje svijetla zlatna boja sa finim, postojanim perlanjem. Na nosu je slojevitije i razvijenije, sa aromama citrusa, pečene jabuke i sušenog voća, uz note brioša, tostiranog hljeba, lješnika i suptilnih začina. Na nepcu je široko, ali precizno, sa živom kisjelinom koja nosi bogatiju, teksturalnu sredinu; ukusi limuna, peciva i badema prate izraženu kredasto-mineralnu strukturu, vodeći ka dugoj, slanoj i elegantnoj završnici.

Jacquesson Cuvée 744 is part of the house’s “700” series, with each release reflecting a single base vintage—in this case 2016—rather than a fixed house style. Compared to the more recent 747 and 748 releases, Cuvée 744 has benefited from additional time in bottle, allowing for greater integration and the development of more complex, tertiary notes. Produced with very low dosage and a balanced blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Meunier, it offers a more evolved and gastronomic expression of Jacquesson’s terroir-driven philosophy.

In the glass, it shows a pale golden colour with fine, persistent bubbles. The nose is more layered and mature in profile, with aromas of citrus, baked apple, and dried orchard fruit, alongside notes of brioche, toasted bread, hazelnut, and subtle spice. On the palate, it is broad yet precise, with lively acidity supporting a deeper, more textural mid-palate; flavours of lemon, pastry, and almond are underpinned by chalky minerality, leading to a long, savoury finish with saline nuances and refined persistence.
