Hatozaki Triple Cask Reserve vodi kolekciju u kompleksnijem i izrazito japanskom pravcu. Prvo sazrijeva u buradima u kojima su prethodno odležavali Bourbon i Sherry, a zatim provodi dodatnih šest mjeseci u buradima korišćenim za Akashi-Tai Umeshu. Arome začina, hrasta, crnog čaja i kore narandže vode ka notama suvih citrusa i prepoznatljivom slatko-voćnom karakteru japanske ume šljive.

Na nepcu je slojevit i lijepo izbalansiran, sa voćem i nježnom slatkoćom koje prate začini i hrast, uz dug i zaokružen završetak. Kompleksniji i ozbiljniji od osnovnih Hatozaki etiketa, Triple Cask je fascinantan primjer kako neobično završno odležavanje može dodati karakter, a da ne potisne sam whisky. Odličan bez dodataka ili sa ledom.

Hatozaki Triple Cask Reserve takes the range in a more complex and distinctly Japanese direction. Initially matured in ex-Bourbon and ex-Sherry casks, it receives a further six-month finish in barrels previously used for Akashi-Tai Umeshu. Aromas of oak spice, black tea and orange peel lead into delicate oak, dried citrus and the distinctive sweet-fruit character of Japanese ume plum.

The palate is layered and beautifully balanced, with fruit and gentle sweetness complemented by spice and oak before a long, rounded finish. More complex and contemplative than the core Hatozaki expressions, Triple Cask is a fascinating example of how unusual cask finishing can add character without overwhelming the whisky itself. Excellent neat or over ice.
