Clos Vougeot is one of Burgundy’s most historic Grand Cru vineyards, a walled vineyard (clos) in the Côte de Nuits that produces Pinot Noir of structure, depth, and longevity. Louis Jadot’s interpretation reflects the power and scale of this site, particularly in the 2016 vintage, which combines concentration with freshness and precision.

In the glass, it shows a deep ruby colour with garnet reflections. The nose is complex and layered, with aromas of black cherry, raspberry, and plum, alongside notes of violet, spice, forest floor, and subtle oak. On the palate, it is full-bodied and structured, with firm, finely grained tannins and vibrant acidity; the fruit is concentrated and precise, leading to a long, powerful finish with mineral depth, spice, and excellent ageing potential.
