Badia a Passignano Gran Selezione proizvodi se isključivo od najkvalitetnijeg grožđa sorte Sangiovese, ubranog sa istoimenog vinograda koji se nalazi u srcu regije Chianti Classico (otprilike 3 km od vinograda Tignanello). Ova regija je cijenjena i poštovana zbog izvanredne vinske proizvodnje još od 1000. godine. Vino odležava u istorijskim podrumima ispod opatije (Badia) Passignano, koji datiraju iz 10. vijeka.

U berbi 2020. Badia a Passignano je duboke rubin crvene boje. Na nosu se javljaju note crnih trešanja, pasje ruže, nježni tonovi mliječne čokolade i kakaoa. Buket upotpunjuju cvjetne arome lavande, perunike, šafrana i blago aromatičnog praha. Na nepcu je vino živahno, vibrantno, vitko i definisano dugim, slanim završetkom.  Ovo je zaista spektakularno vino – gotovo najbolje što Chianti može da ponudi.

Badia a Passignano Gran Selezione is produced exclusively from the finest Sangiovese grapes harvested from its namesake vineyard located in the heart of the Chianti Classico region (about 3 km from the Tignanello vineyard). The region has been respected and appreciated for its outstanding wine production since the year 1000.  The wine is aged in the historic cellars under the Badia (abbey) of Passignano that date back to the 10th century.

In the 2020 vintage, Badia a Passignano is deep ruby red in colour. The nose presents notes of black cherries, dog rose, delicate hints of milk chocolate and cocoa. The bouquet is completed by floral aromas of lavender, irises, saffron and slightly aromatic powder. The palate is lively, vibrant, lean and defined by a long, savory finish.  This is a truly spectacular wine, about as good as Chianti can get.
