Château de Nalys uživa izuzetnu poziciju u srcu apelacije, naspram sela Châteauneuf-du-Pape i njegove čuvene Papske palate. Ovo je jedno od najstarijih imanja u apelaciji, zabilježeno u zemljišnim knjigama još krajem 16. vijeka. Na imanju se brižljivo uzgaja svih 13 poznatih sorti grožđa koje su dozvoljene u apelaciji Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Imanje je 2017. godine preuzela porodica Guigal, poznata po svojoj strasti prema vinima juga Francuske, a upravo ta strast, u kombinaciji sa izuzetnim znanjem i vještinama, podigla je kvalitet vina na još viši nivo.

Ovo, najprestižnije vino imanja, proizvodi se uglavnom od grožđa sa terroira „La Crau“ i „Piedlong“. Kupaža se bazira na sorti Grenache, uz veći udio Syraha i manje količine Mourvèdrea, Counoisea i Vaccarèsa. Intenzivne strukture i duboke boje, dvije trećine vina odležava 24 mjeseca u velikim drvenim bačvama (foudres), dok trećina sazrijeva u hrastovim baricima.

Rubin crvene boje, vino je tamno i duboko, sa izraženim aromama crnog voća i začina. Na nepcu je moćno i postojano, sa svilenkastim taninima. Ovo izuzetno vino iz Châteauneuf-du-Papea savršen je primjer elegancije, složenosti i harmonične ravnoteže po kojoj su vina Château de Nalys prepoznatljiva.  Odlično se slaže sa crvenim mesima sa roštilja ili kuvanim u sosu, divljači i zrelim sirevima.

Château de Nalys enjoys an exceptional position in the heart of the appellation opposite the village of Châteauneuf-du-Pape and its famous Papal Palace. This is one of the oldest properties of the appellation, referenced in the land register already at the end of the 16th Century. The famous 13 grape varieties of the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation are carefully cultivated here.  The estate was acquired in 2017 by the Guigal family, who are clearly passionate about making the wines in this flagship domain in the South. That passion, combined with their exceptional skills and knowledge, have clearly elevated the wines to an even higher level of quality.

This, the estate's top wine, is produced mainly from the terroirs of “La Crau” and “Piedlong”. The blend is mainly Grenache with a large proportion of Syrah and smaller amounts of Mourvèdre, Counoise and Vaccarèse.  Intense with a deep colour, two thirds of the wine is aged for 24 months in foudres and one third in oak barrels. Ruby red in colour, it is dark and deep with aromas of black fruit and spice. On the palate the wine is powerful and persistent with silky tannins. This fine wine from Châteauneuf-du-Pape is a beautiful example of the elegance, complexity and perfect balance of the wines of Château de Nalys.  Pair this with red meats grilled or cooked in sauces, game birds and aged cheeses.
