Chateau Pichon Longueville “Comtesse de Lalande” is known as one of Pauillac’s significant ‘super seconds’. The illustrious Second Growth, from the 1855 classification, backs onto the vineyards of Château Latour and shares a similar climate, aspect and soil as the First Growth, and makes a wine which rivals (and sometimes even exceeds) that of its loftier neighbours.

A blend of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot, and 5% Petit Verdot, this full-bodied, round, mouth-filling Pauillac has sweet tannins, beautiful mid-palate depth, and a great finish. It benefits from an hour in a decanter to drink brilliantly, and will unquestionably evolve gracefully for another 20-25 years.
