Château Pédesclaux is a Grand Cru Classé estate in Pauillac that has undergone significant revitalisation in recent years, combining modern precision with classic Médoc structure. The 2016 vintage, one of Bordeaux’s benchmark years, highlights the estate’s Cabernet Sauvignon-led style, supported by Merlot and a small proportion of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot.

In the glass, it shows a deep ruby colour with garnet reflections. The nose is refined and expressive, with aromas of blackcurrant, blackberry, and cassis, layered with notes of cedar, graphite, tobacco, and subtle spice. On the palate, it is medium to full-bodied, with finely grained tannins and fresh acidity; the fruit is concentrated and well-defined, leading to a long, structured finish with classic Pauillac minerality and excellent ageing potential.
