Château Montrose je jedno od najmoćnijih i najdugovječnijih imanja lijeve obale, često nazvano “Latour Saint-Estèphea” zbog svoje strukture i potencijala za odležavanje. Château Montrose is one of the most powerful and age-worthy estates of the Left Bank, often referred to as the “Latour of Saint-Estèphe” for its structure and longevity. Overlooking the Gironde estuary, the vineyard benefits from a unique microclimate that helped mitigate the impact of the severe spring frosts in 2017, allowing Montrose to produce one of the standout wines of the vintage.

The blend is dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon, supported by Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot, delivering a classic and precise expression of the estate.

In the glass, it shows a deep ruby colour. The nose is refined and focused, with aromas of blackcurrant, red cherry, and plum, layered with notes of graphite, cedar, tobacco, and subtle spice. On the palate, it is medium to full-bodied, with firm, finely grained tannins and vibrant acidity; the fruit is precise and structured, leading to a long, linear finish marked by mineral tension, restraint, and excellent ageing potential.
