U čaši se pokazuje duboka rubin crvena boja sa ljubičastim odsjajem. Na nosu je snažno i slojevito, sa aromama crne ribizle, kupine i šljive, uz note grafita, kedra, duvana, slatkih začina i nagovještaj kakaa. Na nepcu je punog tijela i gusto, sa zrelim, finim taninima i dobrim balansom; voće je bogato i koncentrisano, a završnica duga i obavijajuća, sa izraženom mineralnošću, začinima i impresivnom postojanošću.

Château Montrose is one of the most formidable estates of the Left Bank, overlooking the Gironde estuary and renowned for its depth, structure, and longevity. In recent years, the estate has also become a benchmark for sustainability, with a state-of-the-art gravity-fed cellar and one of Bordeaux’s most advanced environmentally driven winery projects.

The 2015 vintage, from a warm and generous year, is built around a high proportion of Cabernet Sauvignon, supported by Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot, delivering a richer and more opulent expression compared to more classical vintages like 2017.

In the glass, it shows a deep ruby colour with violet reflections. The nose is powerful and layered, with aromas of blackcurrant, blackberry, and plum, complemented by notes of graphite, cedar, tobacco, sweet spice, and a touch of cocoa. On the palate, it is full-bodied and dense, with ripe, finely structured tannins and balanced acidity; the fruit is generous and concentrated, leading to a long, enveloping finish marked by mineral depth, spice, and impressive persistence.
