Château Lynch-Bages is one of the most recognizable names in Pauillac, owned by the Cazes family since 1939 and known for consistently outperforming its classification. The estate sits on the Bages plateau, neighbouring some of the appellation’s most famous properties, including Château Latour and Château Pichon Longueville Baron, a location that underscores the pedigree of its terroir.

The 2010 vintage, one of Bordeaux’s greatest modern years, is built around a high proportion of Cabernet Sauvignon, supported by Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot, delivering a wine of exceptional structure, precision, and ageing potential.

In the glass, it shows a deep, almost opaque ruby colour. The nose is intense and layered, with aromas of blackcurrant, cassis, and blackberry, complemented by notes of cedar, graphite, tobacco, and refined spice. On the palate, it is full-bodied and powerful, with firm, finely grained tannins and vibrant acidity; the fruit is dense and focused, leading to a long, structured finish marked by mineral depth, spice, and outstanding persistence.
