Château Léoville Las Cases is one of the most revered estates of the Left Bank, often regarded as “super second” in quality, producing wines of exceptional structure, depth, and longevity. The 2006 vintage reflects a more classical Bordeaux year, emphasizing precision, firm structure, and long ageing potential, with a Cabernet Sauvignon-dominant blend at its core.

In the glass, it shows a deep garnet colour with slight brick evolution. The nose is complex and mature, offering aromas of blackcurrant, dark cherry, and plum, layered with notes of cedar, graphite, tobacco, leather, and subtle spice. On the palate, it is full-bodied and structured, with firm, well-integrated tannins and vibrant acidity; the fruit is now evolving into tertiary complexity, leading to a long, powerful finish marked by minerality, spice, and remarkable persistence.
