Château La Lagune has long been one of the most elegant estates of the southern Médoc, often noted for its ability to combine classical structure with a more refined, almost Margaux-like aromatic profile. Its gravelly soils and careful vineyard work contribute to wines that emphasize balance and finesse over sheer power.

The 2014 vintage, shaped by a long and classical growing season, is based on Cabernet Sauvignon with Merlot and Petit Verdot in support, offering a more restrained and structured expression compared to warmer vintages like 2020.

In the glass, it shows a deep ruby colour with garnet reflections. The nose is lifted and precise, with aromas of red and blackcurrant, cherry, and plum, layered with notes of violet, cedar, graphite, and subtle earthy spice. On the palate, it is medium-bodied and finely structured, with fresh acidity and elegant, well-defined tannins; the fruit is poised and balanced, leading to a long, harmonious finish with floral nuances, mineral freshness, and classic Médoc restraint.
