Château Grand Corbin-Despagne is a long-established family estate on the cooler, gravelly edge of Saint-Émilion, where the Despagne family has farmed for generations. Known for combining traditional craftsmanship with modern precision, the wines often show a fresher, more structured profile compared to the richer core of the appellation.

The 2015 vintage, from a warm and generous year, is based predominantly on Merlot, supported by Cabernet Franc, delivering a more opulent and rounded expression while retaining balance and freshness.

In the glass, it shows a deep ruby colour with garnet reflections. The nose is expressive and inviting, with aromas of ripe plum, black cherry, and blackberry, layered with notes of violet, spice, cocoa, and a touch of graphite. On the palate, it is medium to full-bodied, with ripe, supple tannins and fresh acidity; the fruit is generous and polished, leading to a long, smooth finish with hints of chocolate, spice, and gentle mineral tension.
