Château du Tertre is one of the oldest estates in Margaux, with origins dating back to the 12th century, and a long reputation for producing wines of elegance and aromatic finesse. Situated on elevated gravel terraces, the vineyard benefits from excellent drainage and exposure, contributing to wines that are both structured and perfumed.

The 2016 vintage, a benchmark year in Bordeaux, is based predominantly on Cabernet Sauvignon, supported by Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot, delivering a precise and balanced expression of Margaux.

In the glass, it shows a deep ruby colour with violet reflections. The nose is refined and lifted, with aromas of blackcurrant, red cherry, and plum, layered with notes of violet, cedar, graphite, and subtle spice. On the palate, it is medium to full-bodied, with finely grained tannins and fresh acidity; the fruit is elegant and well-defined, leading to a long, harmonious finish with floral nuances, mineral depth, and classic Margaux finesse.
