Château du Tertre je jedno od najstarijih imanja u Margauxu, sa istorijom koja datira još iz 12. vijeka, poznato po aromatskoj profinjenosti i eleganciji. Berba 2015, iz tople i izdašne godine, zasniva se pretežno na Cabernet Sauvignon-u, uz Merlot, Cabernet Franc i Petit Verdot, donoseći bogatiji i raskošniji izraz Margaux apelacije.

U čaši se pokazuje duboka rubin crvena boja sa ljubičastim odsjajem. Na nosu je bogato i parfemisano, sa aromama crne ribizle, kupine i zrele šljive, uz slojeve ljubičice, kedra, grafita i slatkih začina. Na nepcu je punog tijela i baršunasto, sa zrelim, finim taninima i svježom kisjelinom; voće je raskošno, ali kontrolisano, a završnica duga, harmonična i elegantna, sa cvjetnim nijansama, začinima i izraženom dubinom.

Château du Tertre is one of Margaux’s oldest estates, with origins in the 12th century and a long-standing reputation for aromatic finesse and elegance. Its elevated gravel plateau is among the highest in the appellation, giving the wines a distinctive lift and precision. Under the ownership of Dutch businessman Eric Albada Jelgersma, alongside Château Giscours, the estate has seen significant investment and a renewed focus on quality.

The 2015 vintage, from a warm and generous year, is based predominantly on Cabernet Sauvignon with Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot in support, delivering a richer, more opulent expression of Margaux.

In the glass, it shows a deep ruby colour with violet reflections. The nose is generous and perfumed, with aromas of blackcurrant, blackberry, and ripe plum, layered with notes of violet, cedar, graphite, and sweet spice. On the palate, it is full-bodied and velvety, with ripe, finely textured tannins and fresh acidity; the fruit is lush yet controlled, leading to a long, harmonious finish with floral elegance, spice, and excellent depth.
