Château Chasse-Spleen is one of the leading estates of Moulis-en-Médoc, often regarded as performing at a level comparable to classified growths. The 2016 vintage, one of Bordeaux’s benchmark years, highlights the estate’s Cabernet Sauvignon-driven style, combining structure, depth, and classical Left Bank precision.

In the glass, it shows a deep ruby colour with garnet reflections. The nose is refined and complex, with aromas of blackcurrant, blackberry, and dark cherry, layered with notes of cedar, graphite, tobacco, and subtle spice. On the palate, it is medium to full-bodied, with firm yet polished tannins and fresh acidity; the fruit is concentrated and well-defined, leading to a long, structured finish with mineral undertones and excellent ageing potential.
