Château Carbonnieux is one of the historic estates of Pessac-Léognan, widely respected for its consistent, elegant style across both red and white wines. The 2020 vintage, from a warm and concentrated year, offers a refined yet generous expression, with a blend led by Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, supported by smaller proportions of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot.

In the glass, it shows a deep ruby colour with violet reflections. The nose is expressive and layered, with aromas of blackcurrant, blackberry, and dark cherry, complemented by notes of cedar, tobacco, graphite, and subtle spice. On the palate, it is medium to full-bodied, with finely grained tannins and fresh acidity; the fruit is ripe and well-defined, leading to a long, balanced finish with hints of cocoa, spice, and characteristic Pessac-Léognan minerality.
