Berba 2015, iz tople i izdašne godine, zasniva se pretežno na Cabernet Sauvignon-u uz podršku Merlota, donoseći bogatiji i raskošniji izraz imanja, uz zadržanu strukturu i balans.

U čaši se pokazuje duboka rubin crvena boja sa ljubičastim odsjajem. Na nosu je bogato i parfemisano, sa aromama crne ribizle, kupine i šljive, uz slojeve ljubičice, kedra, grafita i slatkih začina. Na nepcu je punog tijela i baršunasto, sa zrelim, finim taninima i svježom kisjelinom; voće je bogato, ali precizno, a završnica duga, harmonična i elegantna, sa velikom dubinom i odličnim potencijalom za odležavanje.

Château Calon-Ségur is one of the Médoc’s most characterful estates, famed for its heart on the label and the enduring words of the Marquis de Ségur: “I make wine at Lafite and Latour, but my heart is at Calon.” In recent years, significant investment and vineyard work have elevated the estate to a new level of precision and finesse, while preserving its classic Saint-Estèphe identity.

The 2015 vintage, from a warm and generous year, is based predominantly on Cabernet Sauvignon with Merlot in support, delivering a richer and more opulent expression of the estate while maintaining structure and balance.

In the glass, it shows a deep ruby colour with violet reflections. The nose is generous and perfumed, with aromas of blackcurrant, blackberry, and plum, layered with notes of violet, cedar, graphite, and sweet spice. On the palate, it is full-bodied and velvety, with ripe, finely textured tannins and fresh acidity; the fruit is rich yet precise, leading to a long, harmonious finish marked by depth, elegance, and excellent ageing potential.
