Château Calon-Ségur je jedno od najemblematičnijih imanja Médoca, poznato po etiketi sa srcem i nasljeđu markiza de Ségura. Berba 2009, iz tople i sunčane godine, predstavlja jedan od najraskošnijih i najmoćnijih izraza ovog imanja, uz očuvanu strukturu i identitet Saint-Estèphea.

Kupaža je zasnovana na izuzetno visokom udjelu Cabernet Sauvignon-a (oko 90%), uz manji dodatak Merlota, što vinu daje izvanrednu strukturu, dubinu i preciznost, uz bogatstvo koje donosi ova berba.

U čaši se pokazuje duboka rubin crvena boja sa granatnim nijansama. Na nosu je snažno i izražajno, sa aromama crne ribizle, kupine i šljive, uz slojeve ljubičice, kedra, grafita, slatkih začina i nagovještaj kakaa. Na nepcu je punog tijela i raskošno, sa zrelim, baršunastim taninima i dobrim balansom; voće je bogato i obavijajuće, a završnica duga i glatka, sa nijansama začina, mineralnosti i impresivnom postojanošću.

Château Calon-Ségur is one of the Médoc’s most emblematic estates, famed for its heart-labeled bottle and the legacy of the Marquis de Ségur. The 2009 vintage, from a warm and solar year, represents one of the most opulent and powerful expressions of the estate, while still grounded in the structure and identity of Saint-Estèphe.

The blend is dominated by an exceptionally high proportion of Cabernet Sauvignon (around 90%), supported by a small amount of Merlot, giving remarkable structure, depth, and precision alongside the richness of the vintage.

In the glass, it shows a deep ruby colour with garnet hints. The nose is powerful and expressive, with aromas of blackcurrant, blackberry, and plum, layered with notes of violet, cedar, graphite, sweet spice, and a touch of cocoa. On the palate, it is full-bodied and plush, with ripe, velvety tannins and balanced acidity; the fruit is generous and enveloping, leading to a long, smooth finish marked by spice, mineral depth, and impressive persistence.
