Canadian Club je jedan od najprodavanijih i široko rasprostranjenih Kanadskih viskija. Kako legenda kaže, viski je bio popularan u "klubovima za gospodu" u 19-om vijeku, gdje je stekao prepoznatljivost pod imenom "Club Whisky". Vremenom, "Canadian" je dodato na etiketu, da bi se lakše raspoznavao u odnosu na konkurenciju nižeg kvaliteta ( barem je tako zvanična verzija priče ). Sve veća popularnost TV serija kao sto je Boardwalk Empire i Mad Men su pomogli u spoznaji koliko je Canadian Club bio popularan medju američkim uživaocima viskija u prethodnim dekadama, što je vjerovatno doprinijelo novoj popularnosti ovog poznatog brenda.

Boja je svijetlo zlatna, a arome svježe i mekane, sa nagovještajem badema i  paprikastih začina. Na nepcu je začinjen i pikantan, praćen tragovima bogatog hrasta i slatke vanile.  Naš omiljeni način da ga pijemo je kao koktel "Rye & Ginger" miksovan sa dobrim Ginger Ale , kao što je Thomas Henry Spicy Ginger Ale  - sipan preko leda.

Canadian Club is one of the best selling and widely available Canadian whiskies.  As the legend goes, this whisky was popular in the “gentlemen clubs” of the 19th century, where it received the distinction of becoming known as “Club Whisky.” Eventually, “Canadian” was added to the label, to differentiate it from competitors of lower quality (or so the official story goes).  The rise of period TV dramas like Boardwalk Empire and Mad Men have helped illustrate how popular Canadian Club was among American whisky drinkers in prior decades, something that has likely contributed to the recent resurgence of this storied brand.

The colour is bright gold, the aromas fresh and soft, with an almond nuttiness and a hint of peppery spice.  On the palate it is spicy and zesty, complimented with hints of rich oak and sweet vanilla.  Our favourite way to drink it:  as a “Rye & Ginger” mixed with good Ginger Ale — such as Thomas Henry Spicy Ginger Ale — over ice.
