Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars osnovan je 1970. godine kupovinom vinograda S.L.V. Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars was established in 1970 with the purchase of the S.L.V. vineyard. Only six years later, the 1973 S.L.V. Cabernet Sauvignon was awarded the highest honour at the Judgment of Paris blind tasting, besting First Growth Bordeaux Châteaux. This achievement solidified Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars and the Napa Valley as places that crafted world-class wines. Today, Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars is a quality benchmark for California Cabernet Sauvignon.
FAY Vineyard, established by pioneering grape grower Nathan Fay in 1961, was the first planting of Cabernet Sauvignon in what is now the Stags Leap District AVA. Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars purchased this historic vineyard from Nathan Fay in 1986, and has made a single vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon from this vineyard since the 1990 vintage.
The wine presents a captivating and complex aromatic profile, beginning with vibrant aromas of boysenberry, black cherries, and raspberries. Notes of fig marmalade add a layer of richness and sweetness, balancing the bright fruit with its deeper, more savory notes.
