On the steepest slopes of Champagne, at the gateway to Burgundy, Domaine Alexandre Bonnet produces some of the most prized Champagnes of the Côte des Bar. With 47 hectares of vineyards on the estate certified HVE3 since 2015, Alexandre Bonnet champagnes embody a strong identity, both as a symbol and emblem of this unique terroir. Their Blanc de Noirs NV was named best Blanc de Noirs in the world by the Champagne & Sparkling Wine World Championships in 2020.
Made from 100% Pinot Noir, from vines with an average age of 30 years, this spends a minimum of 36 months on fine lees, disgorging with a low dosage to preserve the purity of the wine. A clear, intense pink colour, this is expressive and complex with red berry aromas, especially wild strawberries and raspberries, complemented by blackcurrants, redcurrants and spices such as Sichuan pepper. On the palate it is full, delicious and very fruity, lively and structured with silky tannins. It is long and refreshing on the finish.
Open this Champagne within the next three years to enjoy its youthful qualities, or wait up to 10 years for a more complex experience. It can be a wonderful aperitif or a nice pairing for various dishes such as a tomato tart, asparagus salads and anchovies.
