Riesling Trocken, Weingut Thörle 2022

“Trocken” znači da je ovaj Riesling potpuno suv. Pravi se iz vinograda oko Saulheima na sjeveoistoku Rheinhessen, gdje zemljište čini kombinacija krečnjaka, laporca i gline. Grožđe se ručno bere, melje, te ostavlja 12 časova sa kožicom da se izvuče maksimum sastojaka arome. Fermentacija se odvija prirodno, 85% u nerđajućem čeliku a 15% u strim buradima od njemačke hrastovine.  Arome breskve i kajsije dopunjuju dobru dužinu trjanja u ustima sa racnim citrusnim i intenzivnm, gotovo slanim mineralnim notama. Poznato je po svojoj strukturi i finesi, a divno se slaže sa salatama, laganim morskim plodovima i sušijem. 

“Trocken” means that this Riesling is completely dry.  It is made from vineyards around Saulheim in the north-east of the Rheinhessen, where soils are combinations of limestone, marl and clay. Grapes are picked by hand, crushed and then left for 12 hours on skins to extract maximum flavour compounds. Fermentation occurs naturally, 85% in stainless steel tanks and 15% in old German oak barrels.  Aromas of peach and apricot complement a good length in the mouth with various citrus and intense, almost salty mineral notes. The wine is noted for its structure and finesse.  Wonderful with salads, light seafood and sushi.
