Syrah, Montagne Noir 2021

Dok je bukvalni prevod ovog vina „Crna Gora“, crna planina o kojoj se ovdje govori je veliki raspon koji se proteže duž sjevernog ruba francuske vinske regije Languedoc-Roussillon. Odležalo šest mjeseci u bačvama od francuskog hrasta i izgleda tamnog granata, ovaj 100% Syrah nudi složeni buke aroma crvenog voća pomiješanih sa notama začina i malim naznakama slanine. Na nepcu, ovo vino je gipko i glatko, sa mekim taninima. Dobar je spoj za tamnije meso, a dobro se slaže i sa začinjenom kuhinjom kao što je azijska svinjetina sa pet začina ili indijski Tandoori.

While the literal translation of this wine is “Montenegro,” the black mountain referred to here is the large range that runs along the northern edge of France’s Languedoc-Roussillon wine region.  Aged for six months in French oak barrels, and with a dark garnet appearance, this 100% Syrah offers a complex bouquet of red fruit aromas mixing with notes of spices and a hint of bacon fat. On the palate, this wine is supple and smooth, with soft tannins. It’s a good pairing for darker meats, and also matches well with spicier cuisine such as Asian five-spiced pork or Indian Tandoori.
