Distilled in Trinidad in 2003 and matured for an extraordinary 22 years, this limited-edition release from Planteray’s Vintage Collection showcases the remarkable elegance and complexity for which long-aged Trinidad rum has become increasingly admired among collectors and enthusiasts. Aged first in ex-bourbon casks in the tropical climate of Trinidad before undergoing further maturation in Ferrand ex-Cognac casks in France, the rum combines richness, freshness, and remarkable aromatic depth.

The nose opens with an intricate bouquet of ripe tropical fruit, peach, guava, fig, vanilla, beeswax, peppercorn, citrus zest, and subtle briny notes, accompanied by hints of polished oak, cocoa, tobacco, and menthol. On the palate, the rum is rich, oily, and beautifully layered, revealing flavours of caramelised oak, coconut, dates, dark spice, citrus, and exotic fruit, balanced by remarkable freshness and precision. The finish is exceptionally long and complex, unfolding with notes of cooked pear, lime, cocoa, tobacco leaf, mineral nuances, and lingering spice.
