Matured for sixteen years in a combination of traditional American oak and the finest Oloroso sherry casks, Aberlour 16 Year Old is a beautifully balanced expression of the rich, elegant style for which Speyside is renowned. The dual maturation brings together the sweetness of vanilla and ripe orchard fruit from the American oak with the depth, dried fruit and warming spice contributed by the sherry casks, resulting in a whisky of exceptional complexity and refinement. It is widely regarded as one of the outstanding value age-statement single malts in its category, offering remarkable maturity and richness at an approachable price.

The nose is inviting and beautifully layered, revealing aromas of ripe plum, raisin, honey, vanilla and toasted almonds, complemented by notes of dark chocolate and gentle baking spices. On the palate, it is full-bodied and exceptionally smooth, with flavours of caramel, dried figs, orange peel, cinnamon and roasted nuts, all supported by elegant oak and subtle hints of spice. The finish is long, warming and wonderfully balanced, leaving lingering impressions of dried fruit, cocoa and sweet spice.
