In the heart of the Côte des Blancs, where the Chardonnay grapes attain optimal maturity, Louis Roederer has selected two exceptional grands crus to provide the grapes for this wine: Mesnil-sur-Oger and Avize, whose unique characteristics and complementarity enable the House to produce taut, highly aromatic wines that have finesse.  This Champagne is a pure, taut, fine, and bright wine. Slightly sweetened floral and white fruit notes are combined with the almost chalky minerality of the Côte des Blancs. This is a wine of finesse, elegance, and freshness, a perfect match with oysters, summer salads, prawns, crab and lobster.
