Château Citran jedno je od najstarijih imanja u Médocu, čija istorija seže do 13. vijeka. Danas posjeduje preko 100 hektara vinograda u apelaciji Haut-Médoc, zasađenih 50% Merlotom i 40% Cabernet Sauvignonom, dok ostatak čine Cabernet Franc i Petit Verdot.  Vino obično dostiže svoj vrhunac između 6 i 14 godina starosti, što znači da je berba 2015. sada u idealnom trenutku za uživanje. Château Citran is one of the older estates in the Medoc, dating back to the 13th century.  Today is has just over 100 hectares in the Haut-Medoc appellation planted to 50% Merlot and 40% Cabernet Sauvignon (the balance being Cab Franc and Petit Verdot).  The wine typically hits is peak between 6 and 14 years of age, so this 2015 is now in its ideal drinking window.   It offers attractive red fruits and spiced-pastry aromas with cinnamon and some darker plum notes.  The palate has a very supple and even-handed feel, where the tannins are ultra-polished.  The finish is not overly long, but at this price point, for a 2015, the wine definitely over-delivers.
