The vineyards of Château Cilorn in the Saint-Émilion region of Bordeaux are planted to 100% Merlot.  The estate’s philosophy is one of minimal intervention, allowing for a pure expression of this varietal.  As a consequence, the wine ages 12 months only in stainless steel.  In the result, it is a beautiful ruby colour with purple tints, the fruity nose is marked by notes of morello cherries, crushed raspberries, blackcurrant and a hint of cassis.  In the mouth it is fruity and offers good definition and a lovely juiciness. Fans of Merlot will appreciate this unique wine.
