Ovo je vjerovatno najpoznatije – i najomiljenije – SuperToskan vinsko ime na svijetu, proizvedeno od grožđa iz istoimenog vinograda, sa zemljištem bogatim krečnjakom i jugozapadnom ekspozicijom na nadmorskoj visini od 350–400 metara. Tignanello je bilo prvo vino od sorte Sangiovese koje je odležavano u malim drvenim buradima, prvo moderno italijansko crveno vino koje je u kupaži koristilo netradicionalne sorte poput Cabernet-a, i jedno od prvih crvenih vina iz regije Chianti Classico koje je proizvedeno bez bijelog grožđa.

Kao rezultat tople i suve vegetacione sezone, Tignanello iz 2011. godine ima intenzivnu rubin crvenu boju sa ljubičastim odsjajem. Na nosu je vino zrelo, sa notama tamnog voća i izraženom svježinom u aromatičnom završetku; dominantne su arome šljive i trešnje, koje se razvijaju snažno i uravnoteženo prema nijansama mente i sladića. Na nepcu je vino spremno i primamljivo, bogato i harmonično; izvanredan balans ukusa zahvaljujući živahnoj kiselosti i čvrstim, ali podatnim taninima. Završetak i retro-gustativni utisak su bogati i pikantni, sa izraženom slatkastom postojanošću i dužinom.

Here at Wine Empire we are delighted to be able to offer an exclusive selection of historic vintages of Tignanello.  This is probably the world's favourite - and best-known - SuperTuscan wine, produced from a vineyard of the same name, with limestone-rich soils and a southwestern exposure at 350 - 400 meters above sea level.  It was the first Sangiovese wine to be aged in small oak barrels, the first modern Italian red wine to use such non-traditional varieties as Cabernet in the blend, and among the first red wines from the Chianti Classico area to be produced without white grapes.  

The result of a hot and dry growing season, the 2011 Tignanello is an intense ruby red in colour with purple highlights. The wine is ripe on the nose with notes of dark fruit and with much underlying freshness on the aromatic finish; plum fruit dominates the aromatic gamut along with cherries, and the aromas evolve with vigor and balance towards sensations of mint and liquorice. On the palate the wine is ready and inviting, rich and harmonious; excellent the balance of the flavours thanks to the tonic acidity and the solidity and suppleness of the tannins. The finish and aftertaste are rich and savory and are characterized by a sweet persistence and length.
