Bodegas Vega Sicilia se s pravom smatra draguljem među španskim vinima. Od svog osnivanja 1864. godine, ova vinarija donijela je međunarodnu slavu regiji Ribera del Duero, na sjeveru Španije – regiji koja je do tada bila u sjeni poznatije Rioje. Mnogi vjeruju da je upravo posvećenost Vega Sicilije vrhunskom kvalitetu omogućila Riberi del Duero da zauzme zasluženo mjesto među najprestižnijim vinskim regijama svijeta. Danas Vega Sicilia ima razvijen portfelj koji uključuje i Bodegas Alion – moderniju interpretaciju Ribere del Duero, zatim Bodegas Pintia – smještenu u sve značajnijem regionu Toro, kao i mađarsko imanje Oremus u regiji Tokaj.

Pintia kombinuje tradiciju i karakter regije Toro sa modernošću i elegancijom koja je svojstvena ovom imanju. Čokoti sorte Tinta de Toro rastu u siromašnom, kamenitom i pjeskovitom tlu, u klimi sa malo padavina i izraženim temperaturnim razlikama.

Pintia 2020 je bujno vino, puno karaktera, ali ujedno i glatko i elegantno. Ovo je vino koje vas „zagrli“ i ne pušta! Nudi spoj svježine i dubine, sa naglaskom na zrelu, ali živopisnu voćnost. U aromatskom profilu ističu se kupine, grafit i kakao, uz note sandalovine i crnih maslina. Na nepcu se osjeća svježina, kredasti tanini, napeta struktura i dug završetak. Posebno dobro ide uz jela od mesa poput govedine, gulaša od jagnjetine, pečene patke i teleće džigerice.

Bodegas Vega Sicilia is considered the crown jewel of Spanish wines. Since its founding in 1864, the winery has brought international acclaim to Ribera del Duero, a region in northern Spain formerly overshadowed by the more famous Rioja. Many believe Vega Sicilia’s commitment to quality earned Ribera del Duero its rightful place as one of the world’s highest-quality wine regions. Vega Sicilia has now built up a portfolio which includes Bodegas Alion (providing a more modern expression of Ribera del Duero), Bodegas Pintia (in the emerging region Toro) and the Hungarian Tokaji estate, Oremus.

Pintia combines the tradition and character of Toro with the modernity and elegance inherent to the estate. The Tinta de Toro vines are rooted in poor, stony, sandy soils in a climate with low rainfall and marked temperature contrasts.

Pintia 2020 is opulent, juicy and full of character, yet smooth and elegant. This is a wine that hugs you and won’t let go!  It offers a combination of freshness and depth, with a focus on ripe, yet vibrant fruit. It exhibits aromas of blackberries, graphite, and cocoa, with notes of sandalwood and dark olives. The palate is characterized by fresh, chalky tannins, a nervous backbone, and a lengthy finish.  Particularly good meat pairings include beef, lamb stew, roast duck and calf's liver.
