    Gaia & Rey je vrhunsko bijelo vino ovog imanja i često se upoređuje sa vinima Grand Cru Burgundije, prije svega zbog svoje elegancije, koncentracije, trajnosti ukusa… i čiste profinjenosti. Berba iz 2023. godine predstavlja mlađu verziju ovog vina, pa je u početku suzdržano na nosu, ali se postepeno otvara i otkriva svježe citrusne note, voće iz voćnjaka, tostirani badem i začine. Na nepcu je riječ o kompleksnom i punom vinu, sa živim citrusnim aromama i dugotrajnim mineralnim završetkom. Preporučujemo dekantiranje ovog vina, pa čak i da odstoji sat vremena (dekanter stavite na led) kako bi se potpuno otvorilo. Zatim ga uparite sa kvalitetnim morskim plodovima poput lista, škampa ili jastoga, kao i sa živinom, bijelim mesom i kremastim pastama (sa ili bez tartufa).

From its classic Barbaresco and Barolo and its single-vineyard bottlings, to its ground-breaking Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Cabernet Sauvignon, Gaja is both a pioneer and guardian of tradition, a legacy that continues to reshape the standard for excellence in the world of winemaking today.

    Gaia & Rey is the estate's top white wine, and it attracts a lot of comparisons to Grand Cru Burgundy, principally for its elegance, concentration, length of flavours... and sheer elegance.  This 2023 is a younger version of the wine, so it's initially shy on the nose but opens up to reveal fresh citrus, orchard fruit, toasted almond and spice notes.  On the palate this is a complex and full-bodied wine, with vibrant citrus flavours and a lingering minerality on the finish.  We recommend decanting this wine, and even letting it sit for an hour (place the decanter on ice) to let it open up.  Then, pair it with some quality seafood like turbot, shrimps or lobster, or with poultry, white meats, and creamy pastas (with or without truffles).
