Derrumbes is a celebrated artisanal mezcal project that showcases the diversity of Mexico’s mezcal-producing regions, sourcing each expression from small producers in specific terroirs to highlight the unique agave varieties, production methods, and cultural traditions of each area. Derrumbes Durango is produced in the Mexican state of Durango by maestro mezcalero Uriel Simental, using 100% agave Durangensis, a variety native to the region’s high-altitude, volcanic soils. This mezcal presents a bold yet refined character, with an expressive nose of roasted agave, fresh pine, dried herbs, and a touch of white pepper, layered with subtle smoke and mineral undertones.
