A Premier Grand Cru Classé from St. Émilion, the 2015 Canon is 72% Merlot and 28% Cabernet Franc.  If offers an intense bouquet of extraordinary purity with scents of raspberry, wild strawberry, limestone and violets. It makes a huge impression, and will no doubt go down in history as one of the great vintages of the estate.

The palate is medium-bodied and multilayered with vivacious red and black fruit and a lovely mineral quality. There is freshness, tension and an overarching structure that will allow it to age (and improve) for a very long time.  This estate has been in the ascendant in recent vintages under winemaker John Kolasa and now Nicolas Audebert.  When combines with top vintage conditions (as in 2015 and 2016), Canon delivers at a level virtually unmatched in St. Émilion.
