Château Capendu Corbières 2018
90 points - Wine Spectator
Located close to the historic city of Carcassonne, Château Capendu bears the name of its village. The vineyard covers 27 hectares under the AOP Corbières appellation, located on the foothills of the Alaric mountains. A blend of Carignan, Grenache and Syrah, the wine is garnet in colour with ruby hints. Elegant and generous on the nose with ripe fruits and spices, on the palate it is deep, generous and powerful with notes of black fruits and spices, soft and supple tannins and a long, well-balanced finish. Serve at 16 C with red meats, stew, game and cheese.
