Ova čuvena imanja u Saint-Émilionu nazvana su po Jacquesu Kanonu koji je kupio imanje 1760. godine. Od 1996. godine u vlasništvu je Chanela. Premier Grand Cru Classé, nalazi se u centru apelacije Saint-Émilion, jugozapadno od grada Saint-Émilion, gde je 18 hektara vinograda podeljeno između vapnenačkog platoa i glinasto-šljunkovitih obronaka. Vinifikacija je tradicionalna: do 20 dana u drvenim posudama sa kontrolisanom temperaturom, a zatim 18 mjeseci zrenja u hrastovim buradima (70% novih).

Ova berba donosi prelijepi, klasični stil Canona koji je na samom vrhu onoga što Saint-Émilion može da ponudi. Kompaktno i gusto, a opet ne tvrdo, fino je strukturirano kako u pogledu teksture crne ribizle i kupine, tako i u pogledu oblika tanina. Pokazuje jasnu mineralnost i lagani dodir ljubičastih nota.

This famous St. Émilion property is named after Jacques Kanon who bought the estate in 1760. Since 1996 it has been owned by Chanel.  A Premier Grand Cru Classé, it is located in the centre of the St. Émilion appellation, to the south-west of St-Emilion town, where its 18 hectares of vineyards are split between the limestone plateau and the clay/loam côtes.  Vinification is traditional: up to 20 days in temperature-controlled wooden vats followed by 18 months' maturation in oak barrels (70% new).

This vintage delivers a beautiful, classic style of Canon that is right at the top of what St-Émilion can offer. Compact and dense without being hard, it is finely structured both in terms of the texture of the cassis and blackberry fruits and in the shape of the tannins. It demonstrates a clear minerality and a feather-brushing of violet notes.
